admission 2018 schedule

Admission Requirements
I. English Language Proficiency one of the following;

  • IELTS 5.0 or above.
  • TOEFL (Computer-Based) 140 or above.
  • TOEFL (Internet-Based) 45 or above.
  • TU-GET 450 or above.

II. Program Requirement
     Submit Cumulative Grade Point Average or GPAX of 4 selected semesters for 2 semester/year high schools or 7 selected semesters for 3-semester/year high schools.

  • IDD : 2.50 or above (Any programs, M.6 or equivalent).
  • CDT : 3.00 or above (Sci-Math program, M.6 or equivalent)      or

     Submit standard test score one of the following;
          IDD Applicants

  • PAT1 (Mathematics) : 20% or above.
  • SAT I (Mathematics) or SAT II (Mathematics LV.1 or 2) 450 or above.
  • GCE’A’Level or GCE’AS’ (Mathematics) C or above.
  • GED (Mathematics) : 500 or above.
  • NEW GED (Mathematics) : 145 or above.

          CDT Applicants

  • PAT1 (Mathematics) and PAT2 (Sciences) 35% or above.
  • SAT I (Mathematics) or SAT II (Mathematics LV.1 or 2) and SAT II (Physics) 600 or above.
  • GCE’A’Level or GCE’AS’ (Mathematics) and GCE’A’ Level or GCE’AS’ (Physics) C or above.
  • GED (Mathematics and Science) 650 or above.
  • NEW GED (Mathematics and Science) 165 or above.

III. Portfolio

  • IDD Applicants (Round 1 & 5)
    • Animation and Visual Effect Major (VFX)
      • 10 pieces of original or printed works.
      • 5 pieces of illustration drawing.
    • Game Art and Design Major (GAD) : 2 analytical writings including Game Design Document and Game Analysis.

  • CDT Applicants (Round 1)

    • Digital Interactive Stimulation Major (DIS): 2 essays including Personal Essay and Program Explanation Essay.
    • Game Engineering and Design Major (GED): 2 analytical writings including Game Design Document and Game Analysis.

IDD Applicants (Round 3)

Applied Arts and Creative Exam

Animation and VFX Major

  • Using your creativity to apply the provided materials to create a design project.
  • To interpret the given source to visual image.
  • Thought development process.
  • Understanding the 3D form.
  • Inspiration.
  • Solving unexpected problem
  • Be able to imagine a 3-D scene.

Game Art and Design Major
Write up an essay about a game of your selection with this outline:

  • The game mechanic analysis (Why is the game is fun? Which part of the game that you think better than the other game? and why? Which part that you like the most, and why? How is the game entertain you? Etc.)
  • Compare to other games in the same genre (why is this one is better, worse or why is this one is stand out from the other game, etc.)
  • How to improve the selected game? (If you can improve the game, what will you do?)
  • This essay has to be at least 750 words in English. You can use pictures and/or diagrams in your essay.

Remark : IDD applicants are required to submit the score of Applied Arts and Creative exam which is arranged by Innovative Digital Design and Creative Digital Technology Program which has been scheduled on March 24th, 2017.


CDT Applicants (Round 3)

  • CDT applicants are required to submit the 9 general courses of mathematics ≥ 30 % and physics ≥ 20 %

          or

  • PAT 1(Mathematics) and PAT 2(Sciences) ≥ 45 %
